Seminars, Workshops and Other Events

The Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of the Republic of Croatia organises lectures/seminars/workshops/conferences with the aim of informing and educating broader public about the most recent developments in the Agency's work and European and Croatian regulations governing the field of medicinal products and medical devices, which are instrumental for assurance of their quality, efficacy and safety.

Lectures are intended for healthcare professionals, representatives of manufacturers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, representatives of wholesalers and retailers of medicinal products and/or medical devices, as well as for other interested parties to whom such new information may be of assistance in their work.

Lectures will be given by prominent experts from national regulatory bodies, generic and innovative industry and the academia.

The announcement of the conference/seminar contains programme, participation terms and conditions and registration method, while the overview accompanying a brief description of events also contains lecturers' summaries or complete presentations, speeches and photos from the conference/seminar.

International Conference "Reinforcing patient safety in Europe"

Under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia and Croatian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, the International Conference "Reinforcing patient safety", co-organised by European Medicines Agency (EMA) and Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices, will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, on 14-15 June 2011.

The conference is supported by the European Union's Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) Programme, designed to support pre-accession activities of the candidate countries.

Main objectives of the Conference are: to give an overview of EU legislation on medicinal products and to exchange views and establish dialogue with European experts in the field of medicinal products regulation, as well as to prepare HALMED for its future involvement in the EMA's activities.

This conference also represents continuation of the previous EMA conferences held in Split and Rijeka titled "Pharmaceuticals Regulation - Croatia's Road to EU Membership" and EU Regulatory Network - Challenges and Opportunities for Croatia, respectively.
