8th Croatian Congress of Pharmacology with International Participation
From 15 to 18 September 2016 Split will host the 8th Croatian Congress of Pharmacology with International Participation, organised by the Croatian Pharmacological Society, the University of Split School of Medicine and the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Croatia (HALMED).
The Congress, which will take place at the University of Split School of Medicine, will be open for presentations of a broad spectrum of topics related to pharmacology that are interesting to scientists and professionals from various fields of biomedicine and health. Both basic and clinical pharmacologists, the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) as well as pharmaceutical companies, pharmacists and other professionals whose activities are closely related to pharmacology are invited to take an active part in the Congress. A particular attention will be paid to creating a positive and encouraging environment for young researchers so that as many of them as possible can present their work, get to know their colleagues and exchange ideas.
The program of the Congress will include plenary lectures presented by prominent scientists from Croatia and abroad, symposia, poster sessions, educational workshops and promotional exhibitions. A special satellite symposium will be held in a historic and picturesque town of Sinj in the Dalmatian hinterland.
Respective professional chambers will accredit attendance at the Congress to participants from Croatia. Abstracts of all presentations will be published in Periodicum Biologorum, the official journal of the Croatian Pharmacological Society.
In addition to the scientific and professional segment of the Congress, a rich cultural and social program is planned, and the unique Mediterranean spirit and historical heritage of Split will surely contribute to enjoyable experience.
